Life After Death

For anyone who doesn't believe in the existence of God or life after death, here are a few reasons to consider otherwise. When Jade was a baby, she would often stare at this one corner of our town home and just laugh and laugh. Our cats frequently stared at the same corner and meowed. When Jade was two, she refused to sleep in her room because of the person in her closet with no feet. (That room is now the office.) When she was three, she told us about a family she had before us, the ages of the family members (using some numbers she did not know yet), and explained how they had all died in a fire. She has told us about the mom she used to have, and that her baby died too, just like ours. (She was referring to our miscarriages.) When we hear a strange noise or have an unusual smell in the house, she says it's because "someone must be visiting." And the most recent occurrence was a few months ago. We were reading her children's bible before bed and she was asking how Jesus was able to perform his miracles. I told her we won't know until we die and go to heaven. She insisted that she used to know, but then she came down here to Earth and now she can't remember anymore. Interesting.
