9 Months and Walking!

Erica recently had her 9 month checkup and she is developing beautifully. She is now almost 18 pounds (26th percentile) and 28 inches long (58th percentile). The most exciting news we have about her is that she started walking! She is so much happier now that she can get around like the rest of us. It's funny how different siblings can be. Jade had no desire to move at all until she was about one, and Erica has been trying to keep up with her big sister since she was six months old.
The video is of Erica doing one of her favorite things...getting into the cat food. She loves the taste of it and would eat it all day if we let her. It is a constant battle to keep her away from it. This time she actually put the food back rather than eat it.
Other news: Jade is at a Valentine's party at school today. She wrote out all the valentines herself this year. My Uncle Leo is in town this weekend and we are all getting together for a dinner at my parents on Sunday. Sunday is also my mom's birthday and Jade made some cupcakes for the occasion. Erica is sick right now with RSV and croup. She is being treated with steroids and should be breathing better by tomorrow.

Let It Snow

While the rest of the country has been in the single digits, we have had a surprisingly mild winter this year, with very little snow (especially on the weekends). So when we finally got a substantial amount a few weeks ago, we took full advantage. We always have a blast sledding, and this year Erica got to join us. Unfortunately, the wind was a little much for her (as you can see), so dad took her back early. It's great to have a park down the street...we have so many options all year long!
