I don't recommend this...ever!

This is a bit out of order. This entry should be before the wedding pictures.
So five days before our friends' wedding, I decided to go skiing with another friend of mine, Johanna. It was the last day of the ski season and we had just gotten some snow the day before. We were so excited to get up on the mountain that neither of us checked to make sure we had all the essentials, the most important being sunscreen. Although we had both remembered to sunscreen before we left, neither of us brought it with us for the lunchtime reapplication. Rather than buying the ten dollar bottle up there, we decided to chance it. It was a huge mistake! With the bright sun reflecting off the snow and the high altitude, we never stood a chance. Both of us were burned, mine being the worst. For those that don't know, I share the same rare sunburn allergy with my cousin, Joel (which I discovered on my honeymoon, no less). It sends me into this uncontrollable creepy-crawly itching under the skin that I can never get to. When I scratch, it hurts, swells, and then itches tenfold. It's awful and usually requires a trip to the doctor for a Benedryl shot. Fortunately, since my face is always exposed to the sun, I have developed somewhat of a tolerance for it and was able to manage this burn from home. As the week passed, I watched in horror as my skin went from bright red to peeling. I was mortified by the thought of having to show up at the wedding like this. Thankfully, my luck held out, and with constant scrubbing and a little makeup magic, I was somewhat presentable for the wedding.
