Kids Say the Darndest Things

Jade made her very first analogy today and it was so descriptive, I couldn't help but wonder if she might be a writer some day. We got our first snow in a month this morning, but it was very little. I described it as a "dusting" of snow. She described it as "a light sprinkling of glitter on a white piece of paper." I think she won that one.

Our Last Cousin (for now) is Finally Here

We'd like to welcome our newest arrival, Benjamin Jock (I can't remember his middle name...which is strange because I know I really liked it) to the family. He was born on December 31st and weighed 5lbs. 14oz. He has been doing very well, except for a reflux issue, so he has been slow to gain weight. He is on medication now so he should be packing on the pounds soon enough! Congratulations Tim, Leighann, and Caitlin!
